Founded by Marci Balcescu, a qualified pharmacy technician with nearly a decade of clinical experience in UK and 8 years previously in Romania, our clinic was born from a deep commitment to helping people feel confident in their own skin — safely, naturally, and beautifully. Our Story:
Where Science Meets Self-Care
Beauty Quantum Aesthetics was established in February 2023, but its foundations were built over many years of clinical practice, scientific study, and patient-centred care.
Marci’s professional journey began in 2008, following her graduation from Pharmacy Science College in Romania, where she qualified and operated as a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician. She went on to spend over eight years working in pharmacy, gaining hands-on experience in both community and clinical environments. During this time, she became widely trusted for her ability to translate complex medical information into clear, practical advice for patients — particularly in the areas of skincare, skin conditions, and dermatological concerns, which quickly became her primary passion. This strong clinical foundation continues to underpin her work in aesthetics today. Marci is fully insured for all treatments carried out at Beauty Quantum Aesthetics, ensuring the highest standards of professional accountability and client safety.
Her scientific background extends further. Marci is also a graduate in Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, having completed her studies in Industrial Organic Chemistry and qualifying as a technical operator and laboratory technician. This academic grounding has shaped her analytical, evidence-based approach to skin health and aesthetic medicine.
Her transition into aesthetics began in 2020, driven by a desire to combine pharmaceutical precision with personalised beauty and skin rejuvenation. While still working within pharmacy, she acted as a product and patient-care specialist, advising clients on treatment pathways, skincare formulations, and results-driven solutions — effectively bridging the gap between medical science and aesthetic outcomes.
Committed to excellence and continuous professional development, Marci is a Level 4 qualified aesthetics practitioner, currently studying at Level 5 and progressing toward Level 7 in Aesthetic Practice. Alongside her clinical training, she is also completing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship (Level 5), ensuring that Beauty Quantum Aesthetics is led with both clinical integrity and strong strategic governance. She is registered on Part B of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) register, reflecting her commitment to nationally recognised standards, ethical practice, and regulated aesthetics in the UK. All student and training-related activities are fully insured with BAPTAC, providing comprehensive cover throughout her continued professional development.
In June 2025, she took the step to operate the clinic full-time, responding to growing demand from a loyal client base across High Wycombe, Marlow, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, and surrounding areas.
Today, Beauty Quantum Aesthetics stands for science-led aesthetics, ethical practice, and bespoke treatment planning, where every client journey is guided by knowledge, safety, and a deep understanding of skin biology — not trends.
